It’s been awhile since we have seen Simon Cowell pictured since his serious bike accident in the summer.

Doctors advised him to rest and Simon has taken the advice to heart, pulling out of all his TV commitments and recuperating at home with his family.

Simon celebrated his 61st birthday last week and, to cheer him up, his ex-girlfriend Terri Seymour decided to throw him a small party!

She shared the celebrations on her Instagram stories which show Simon blowing out candles with his son Eric and Terri’s daughter, Coco.

Eric and Coco can be seen dancing around with excitement as Simon is presented with a delicious looking cake! As his partner Lauren looked on, Simon was unable to bend to blow the candles out so instead he pinched them out with his fingers!

It seems like Simon wasn’t allowed any cake due to his strict diet as Lauren joked: “The second cake you’re not allowed to eat but at least the kids can have it.’

Terri said in the background: ‘We didn’t think about that’.

No doubt the kids enjoyed helping Simon finishing his cake – and it was great to see him looking so well!
