According to his colleague , fellow America’s Got Talent judge Howie Mandel, Simon has been recovering well after his horrific bike accident.
Speaking to E! News, Mandel said the whole team at the programme were worried: ‘We didn’t know what to expect. I knew that we could expect something spectacular because we have, I believe, the most talented crew in the world, in every possible department.
“We were a little bit in disarray because we were worried.
“We were worried about our friend, and our boss, and our leader, Simon Cowell, who we hear is doing spectacularly well, considering.

He added: ‘The latest I’ve heard is that after a six hour operation, and some fused discs, and the rod put in his back, yesterday, he was up on his feet, already, he’s already mobile! So, as I’ve been saying to a few other people, I wouldn’t count out seeing Simon again before this season’s end.’
Heidi Klum also gave an update on her fellow America’s Got Talent judge’s recovery. She told People that Simon has been ‘incredible,’ revealing ‘he already got up out of the bed’ only days after his fall which broke several bones in his back.
‘Who knows maybe next week he will be sitting there with us again, at the speed he’s going!’

Back in the UK, Britain’s Got Talent judge Alesha Dixon also gave an update on Simon’s condition, telling ITV’s This Morning that she ‘couldn’t stop thinking’ about what had happened.
Alesha explained: ‘I’ve spoken with Lauren who’s been keeping me updated.
‘I’ve not been able to stop thinking about them all, it’s absolutely horrific.
‘We’re all devastated but the positive thing is he’s in good spirits and Lauren says slowly he’s on the mend.

She continued: ‘I’ve got all my fingers and toes crossed that, come the live shows, we can hopefully have Simon on the link, because we love him.’
The Britain’s Got Talent live shows are due to restart filming in just a few weeks with a ‘virtual audience’.

Glad u r on the road to recovery Simon take care love from andrea
It’s good to know that Simon is on the road to recovery.
Simon is a remarkable man. He is strong, positive and has a fantastic sense of humor. It will not surprise me to see him at home before too long. Our healing is threefold. We heal with the body, mind and spirit. He will have a complete recovery and be back gracing our screens and bringing smiles to everyone sooner than most expect. We all know Simon, you are an incredible man. Remember the angels are there with you always. Remember also, take things a bit slow and do not rush your healing. The body needs time and rest to heal. Hugs.
Simon, Wishing you a speedy recovery. Please don’t rush coming back as you must heal and don’t want to do anything that will hurt yourself for further recovery. Kelly was the perfect fill in for you. What a smart thing to do. Take care of yourself and don’t go riding an electric bike anymore. Hugs, Hugs, Hugs, Montreal <3 <3
