Simon Cowell is reportedly making plans for a return to Britain’s Got Talent, just weeks after his horrific bike accident.
However, although he is recovering well, it won’t be the BGT live finals that Simon will attend.
Instead, according to The Sun, he is gearing up to shoot a BGT special in October, alongside fellow judges Alesha Dixon, Amanda Holden, and David Walliams which will feature some of the best acts that have ever appeared on the show.

A source said: ‘Simon is a total workaholic and even an accident as nasty as his won’t keep him off for long. He’s been working from his home in Los Angeles since the accident happened and is in contact with his team.
‘The plans for this one-off special of Britain’s Got Talent have been in the pipeline for months and he is convinced he will be well enough to take his place on the panel.
‘The show will feature some of the best talent from the start of the series in 2007. Simon has been told to take it easy but he much prefers to be busy. Plus he loves working on BGT, so for him it’s something to look forward to.’
Simon has now left hospital and is home with his family at their Malibu home where partner Lauren has reportedly been cooking up some of his favourite foods.

A family friend revealed to The Mirror: “She has been making his favourite Italian bean soup and also Cottage Pie with turkey, which he loves.
‘His diet is incredibly healthy but there’s nothing better than traditional English comfort foods and treats when you’re on the mend.’
