Fantastic news to report today as The Sun reveal that Simon Cowell will return to his Britain’s Got Talent judges desk in January.
Simon has been missing from our screens recently after pulling out of all his TV commitments following a horrific cycling accident which resulted in a broken back.
His recovery with family in Malibu was top priority and Simon obeyed doctors orders to the letter. This meant America’s Got Talent and Britain’s Got Talent were aired without Simon.
Kelly Clarkson stepped in for Simon on AGT whilst dancer Ashley Banjo filled Simon’s empty chair on BGT.

But now, Simon has reportedly told producers he ‘raring to go’ and can’t wait to get back to work in January.
A source told The Sun: ‘Simon was gutted at having to sit out the show this year. But he’s been totally focused on getting better and will definitely be back on the panel.’
They continued: ‘He’s come on in leaps and bounds recently, thanks to letting his body heal, a healthy diet and some California sun. He’s also enjoyed being surrounded by his family. But he loves his job and is raring to go, especially as BGT offers so much joy and light entertainment in dark times.

‘The panel are all really excited to have him back, though they thought Ashley did a great job and he’ll definitely perform on the show again next year with Diversity.’
Simon has been spotted out and about recently, highlighting just how far he has come with his recovery. Looking fighting fit and super healthy, Simon joined Lauren and Eric on a trip to the shops in Malibu last month.

We can’t wait for Simon to be back where he belongs – back on our TV screens – very soon!
