ITV has confirmed that Britain’s Got Talent will return to our screens before the end of August.
This year’s series filmed its audition shows way back in January and they were aired in April.
However, production was halted on the semi-final stages which usually filmed live over a week in May. Due to the pandemic, ITV decided to postpone filming until the strict lockdown conditions were eased.
ITV have now confirmed that Britain’s Got Talent will start on TV again on Sunday, August 30 with a very special catch up show.
Britain’s Got Talent: The Finalists Revealed will run for 90 minutes between 6:30PM and 8PM.
The episode will feature judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams as they choose this years acts that will make it to the finals.
Following the catch up, the semi-finals will air weekly with exact dates and times to be confirmed soon.
These shows will be pre-recorded with a ‘virtual audience’ and it is expected that Simon Cowell will appear by video link from the USA.

As in previous years, the acts on the show are competing to win a £250,000 cash prize and a place on the Royal Variety Performance.
Of course five Golden Buzzer acts are already confirmed: singer Fayth Ifil, comedian and singer, Jon Courtney; choir Sign Along With Us; comedian Nabil Abdulrashid; and mother-and-daughter singing duo, Honey and Sammy.

Fantastic news. It will be lovely and exciting to have BGT back on Telly. Also it is a marvelous idea to do a catchup show because it has been so long. Thanks to everyone who is making this possible. Thanks also to all the judges and to Simon for appearing via video. I am pleased he will not stress his recovery by trying to attend in person. His full recovery and his health is number one important. Hugs to everyone.
I certainly will miss you Simon. Take care and get well woon. Lots of lof love and hugs xxx
