Simon Cowell is a prolific supporter of many charities and despite his extremely busy work schedule, often makes time to visit some of those he helps. Read more below.

THE HEALTH LOTTERY
Simon recently supported The Health Lottery, a UK based campaign to raise money for the NHS. Simon bought 5000 tickets and pledged to give any winnings straight back to the charity.
He said at the launch event in London “I thought it was one of those great ideas that can make a real difference"
AGAINST BREAST CANCER
Simon's late mum Julie was their Honorary President and sucessfully fought the disease herself in the past.
Simon is a patron of the charity and attends many functions when his schedule allows.

THE KATIE PIPER FOUNDATION
Simon Cowell is the patron of a burns charity set up by model, Katie Piper who was left disfigured after a horrific acid attack.

Simon is a well documented animal lover and actively supports many animal welfare charities.
Simon personally supports two of its branches. He is the Honarary President of the Bridlington branch. He is also a patron of the Brighton branch which his mum Julie also supports.
BATTERSEA DOGS HOME
Simon often attends events at the home, raising much needed funds for the charity.
THE K9 ANGELS
Simon has publicised the work this small charity does for stray dogs around the world. Rescuing dogs bound for meat farms in the far east and finding adoptive homes for strays abandoned in less dog friendly countries around the world.
On Britain's Got Talent in 2012, Simon gave the charity a mention on air to raise awareness of their amazing work.
Simon donated a substantial sum to the charity after a fire at one of their centres in Manchester, England.
Simon has appeared in a two televison advertisments for PETA. One was an anti fur campaign and the other about leaving dogs in hot cars which is still used each summer.
Harry's Million is a campaign for Richard House, London's first children's hospice, which provides care and support for life-limited children and children with complex health-care conditions and their families. Long term patient Harry Singh is aiming to raise £1 million over 3 years.
CHILDRENS HOSPICES UK
In October 2009 Simon Cowell announced that he had become a Patron of Children's Hospices UK. He regularly visits the Chase Hospice in Guildford and invites the children along to the X Factor and Britain's Got Talent every year.
Simon recently attended a Tea Party at Claridges in support of the charity.
HELP FOR HAITI
In 2010, Simon organised a charity single after a hurricane destroyed the island of Haiti.
Simon brought together numerous big name artists including Leona Lewis, Take That, Robbie Williams, Cheryl Cole, Susan Boyle and Rod Stewart who recorded a cover of REMs "Everybody Hurts". The single raised millions for the people of Haiti.
HELP FOR HEROES & GREAT ORMOND STREET HOSPITAL
Simon has also raised money for Help For Heroes & Great Ormond Street Childrens Hospital through charity singles by X Factor Artists.
During the 2013 Comic Relief effort, Simon supported the cause by filmiing a "Wedding sketch" which saw him at a church with the entire congregation hoping they were to be his blushing bride!
The skit included cameos from David Walliams, Olly Murs, Sharon Osbourne and Sinitta.
